They were 11 and 13 at that time and loved going to the neighborhood park for a morning break. Being new to homeschooling, we were very concerned about the appearance to our neighbors and to the neighborhood maintenance crew. We quickly realized that our family was exposed to the possibility of a legal battle every time We used to say, "I wish there was a homeschool ID of some sort so the boys could have something in their possession identifying them as homeschoolers." Not until two years later, in the Fall 2002 did the identification card come to fruition when the conversation started as usual and ended with, "Why don't we make them?" We are humbled that the Lord has blessed us with the knowledge, ability and resources to accomplish the task of providing homeschool students with proper ID's. We've since realized that homeschooled children miss out on many (if not most) student discounts simply because they don't have a student ID card! HomeSchool ID cards takes care of this, too.
